Overview

Acts in a lead capacity in monitoring and controlling maintenance on computers and peripheral equipment in the Computer Operations section of Information Systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Contacts

Regular contact with a diverse group of external callers and visitors e.g.; UEG Managers, Performance Engineers, Producers, Sales Representatives and Staff Personnel; Internal contacts at all levels of the Company

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified typist; Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications; Strong public contact; Effective oral and written communications; Working knowledge of the following applications: Mainframe; M&R Records System (MARS); Transmission Files and Information System (TFIS); Basic math; Valid California driver’s license. Ability to handle multiple demands, activities, projects and meet deadlines.

Must pass a pre qualification examination.

Desired Qualifications

Recent experience with MARS and TFIS; Advance spreadsheet applications.

Physical Demands

Light - Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighting up to 10 pounds with lifting up to approximately 20 pounds, as required. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job in this category requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or may involve sitting most of the time with a degree of pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls.

Environmental Conditions

Normal office environment; Occasional trips to field to conduct audits and receive training.

Equipment

Personal computer/peripheral equipment, typewriter, calculator/adding machine, copier/fax, radio communication equipment.
