My name is Roy Bozarth. I have been employed with the company for over 25 years.
Safety at the workplace has always been a major concern for me. I have been involved with all types of safety issues at Goleta for the past 13 years. The E-Board voted last year for me to chair the storage safety committee giving me the opportunity to expand my concerns.
In the past the Company’s commitment wasn’t there. However, I believe that since we now have a more structured committee and the right mix of union members we can make things happen.
I will be updating the newsletter quarterly unless conditions warrant. Each newsletter will be filled with information concerning safety issues, statistics that will cause you to think and react, and hopefully pictures that will enlighten you.
I will also provide links to safety sites that you might find interesting.
